BLUE WHALE WALL CHART

This illustration was originally produced as an educational wall chart in the 1800s, however now it is reproduced on its own artistic merit. Printed today by the same family using the same process as in the 1950s. It retains the original's colour and detail. 

Jung Koch Quentell's illustration shows the male Blue Whale in the sea blowing air at the surface of the water, with the female whale suckling its young. The skeleton is beautifully shown in comparison to an elephant which give us a sense of its scale.

WALL CHART

Paper mounted on canvas and fitted with wooden rods, nylon cord and fabric tie. Wall mounts not included.

The Blue Whale is also available as a lithographic print, without the rods, or the canvas backing. A lovely option if you want to frame your zoological poster. We supply these untrimmed with a white border so it is easier to mount in a frame. Frame not included.
